Well it's now January 2024 and I've only had one major trip out to collect new machines over winter (and one of those was a Sock Knitter!) and I'm not quite ready to add those to the site. Instead I've been delving into my store and come up with three miniature sewing machines that I've had for some years but which for various reasons I've never got round to including on the website.
The first is a Grain with an amazing retro look - it's a chain stitch machine but the build quality is outstanding and although I call it a miniature it's actually about the same size as the 1920's Ideal and quite capable of domestic work.
The other two really are miniature machines - they're a pair of Singer 20's. One from the 1920/30's the other is the interesting Turkish reproduction made in the 1970's
and although Singer claimed the Singer 20 was not a toy but a real sewing machine I doubt they were ever used for sewing full sized garments.
If you missed my previous updates you'll find links to them further down this page
